Nineteen black rhino have been released at an undisclosed location in South Africa under WWF South Africa's Black Rhino Range Expansion Project to create a new breeding population of the critically endangered animals.

At the Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha, strays are helped and the pets of poor people have access to top quality health care. The clinic's outreach programme has a strong focus on education as well, to ensure people know how to care for their animals.
