Carina Bruwer of Sterling EQ is on a mission through Swim For Hope to raise R600 000 to make December, especially Christmas, bearable for children with cancer. Recently, she swam 21km in Italy and earned R20 000 for the Little Fighters Cancer Trust.

On the long drive back from East London after the Iron Man triathlon, two Captonians decided to do "something absolutely epic" – and settled on a 500km swim from Mozambique to the Indian Ocean island of Madagascar. In doing so, they are raising funds for Miles for Smiles.
