South African wins Mrs World
In a first for the country, Mrs South Africa Candice Abrahams has won the Mrs World title. She took the sash in dazzling ceremony in China and returned home to a heroine's welcome at OR Tambo International Airport yesterday. "It feels amazing," she said on her return.

South Africans have been urged to give Rolene Strauss, the newly crowned Miss World,
a proudly South African welcome. She lands at OR Tambo International Airport on
Saturday morning, and members of the public are invited to come along, bearing flags,
posters and vuvuzelas, to show their support.
