SKA awards bursaries to five matriculants

The world renowned radio telescope project, the Square Kilometre Array (South Africa), has awarded full bursaries for undergraduate studies to five outstanding matric students from the nearby Carnarvon High School. The project is determined to boost science and maths education.

Class of 2015: more pass their exams

The class of 2015 number the most South African matriculants so far to have written their final exams. There were 110 000 more candidates who sat the National Senior Certificate Examinations in the last year compared to 2014, achieving a pass rate of 70.7%.

South African matriculants positive about final exams

Although most matriculants start their final exams on 26 October, a number of learners are sitting their Information Technology practical exams today. Several pupils showed their optimism about the exams, and their futures, during a visit by Minister Jeff Radebe to Tembisa, in Gauteng.
