The dusty town of Sharpeville has seen much history, from the massacre of peaceful protesters to the signing of the new Constitution of a democratic country. We look at the timeline of a place written into the history books.

In creating her web series, Women On Sex, Mmabatho Montsho decided to publish it on the online medium because she wanted to maintain its integrity. She has interviewed numerous women from all walks of life, who speak candidly on topics related to women's sexuality and sexual health.

"The apartheid government took everything away from people, but it couldn't stop them from singing", says Lee Hirsch, director of the documentary Amandla!, an impassioned chronicle of the role of music as a means of protest and survival through more than 40 years of struggle against apartheid in South Africa.
