When teaching children, repetition is important, the principal of Akani Primary School stressed during a Play Your Part clean-up. Pupils took part in the event, and were reminded of the importance of keeping their environment free of litter.

Brand South Africa, as part of its mandate to build pride, patriotism and a spirit of active citizenship, has partnered with the GEM Project and Miss Earth South Africa. The three organisations will collaborate and play their part to clean up schools in the Diepsloot community on Saturday 24 October. The aim of the collaboration is to encourage citizens to play their part by cleaning up and recycling in their communities.
