SA leads as HIV/Aids tide turns: UNAids
South Africa scaled up its antiretroviral treatment by 75% in two years, and invested more than any other middle-income country in its HIV/Aids response in 2011, achieving dramatic reductions in new infections and Aids-related deaths, according to a UNAids report released ahead of World Aids Day.
