Cyclists ride to fundraise for diabetic kids

cyclists_thumbnail A group of cyclists took part in a non-stop relay race of more than 1 000km to fundraise for diabetic children in South Africa. On their trip through three provinces, locals were educated about keeping healthy and being active, as well as encouraging people to get tested.

Disability Rights Awareness Month runs throughout November. It will help increase awareness of the rights of people with disabilities and calls for equal access to socio-economic opportunities. A White Paper on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will also be submitted to parliament.
