FNB pours R40m into local football
First National Bank, one of South Africa's four major banks, is to invest R40-million (US$5.8-million) in developing the country's young footballers over the next few years as part of its 2010 Fifa World Cup legacy programme.

Nigeria were crowned African women's football champions following a 4-2 victory over defending champs Equatorial Guinea in Daveyton outside Johannesburg on Sunday, while South Africa won the playoff for third place, beating Cameroon 2-0.
