World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2023

 

Background

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organisation committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. Team South Africa (Team SA) first participated in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos (WEF Davos) in 2009.

 

This year’s WEF Annual Meeting will take place from 16 – 20 January 2023 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, under the theme Cooperation in a Fragmented World.

 

Pre-WEF Briefing

Team SA, consisting government officials and business leaders who have been invited to WEF, will participate at the event to set the scene on participation and to mobilise a joint programme and messaging ahead of departure to Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.

Team SA Hub

The Team SA Hub, hosted by Brand South Africa, will be situated at Promenade 54 on the main street in Davos as a centralised meeting space to elevate Team SA’s programme at WEF. The hub and Team SA’s programme in Davos powered by Brand SA,  will be supported by our partners Old Mutual, Anglo American and Multichoice.
