Brand South Africa joined the 46th World Economic Forum in the Swiss town of Davos from 20 to 23 January 2016 to share that message that South Africa is a globally competitive nation, an integral part of a rising Africa, and open for business.
Brand South Africa salutes the 100 Most Influential Africans announced earlier this week by the New African magazine for flying the African flag of excellence. Sixteen South Africans are amongst the 100 most influential Africans including Brand South Africa board member, Thebe Ikalafeng.
Brand South Africa has partnered with the Market Theatre Foundation to profile South Africa’s arts and culture sector and the role it plays in telling the positive South African story.
Brand South Africa, in collaboration with the Department of International Relations and Cooperation and other partners, will profile various areas of South Africa’s competitiveness to both Chinese and African media ahead of the Forum for China-Africa Cooperation. FOCAC will be hosted by South Africa from 3-5 December 2015.
On Wednesday 18 November Brand South Africa and Business Report will host a breakfast dialogue to announce South Africa's performance in the 2015 Anholt Nation Brand Index. The Nation Brand Index is the only analytical ranking of the world's national images and reputations.
To mark the launch of the 21st edition of Brands & Branding, South Africa's marketing 'bible', on Tuesday 17 November, Brand South Africa will hold a research dialogue to explore the contribution the country's corporate brands make to shaping the reputation of the South African Nation Brand.
