    Salary:                     R3 005 307.00 – 3 756 635.00 (TCTC per annum)

    Duration:                 Five (5) year Fixed Term Contract

    Job purpose

    The purpose of this job is to ensure that Brand South Africa achieves its mandate and strategic priorities thereby complying with the Trust Deed and all other relevant Government Acts and Regulations.

     

     

    Minimum Requirements

    • Honours Degree or Post Graduate qualification in the following field but not limited to Communication, Marketing, Business (NQF Level 8).
    • Master’s degree or MBA/ Business Leadership/ Marketing (NQF Level 9) may be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience within a senior management/leadership role with 5 years’ experience within an executive management/leadership role.
    • Experience within a Brand Management/ Marketing or Communications environment is essential.
    • The incumbent must be a recognised and respected thought leader within their field and have proven experience interacting and building business networks at the highest level of society.
    • Proven high level public and private sector liaison and communication ability (this is in the context of profiling the organisation and the country as well as sourcing funding).
    • Organisational Transformation and turnaround experience.

     

     

    Key Performance Areas:

    1. Lead the development and implementation of the Brand South Africa business strategy.
    • Lead the overall conceptualisation and development of Brand South Africa business strategy.

     

    1. Drive the business model and strategy of the organisation.
    • Provide strategic thought leadership to the organisation.

     

    1. Create the optimal working environment in the activation of strategy to be more effective in achieving Brand South Africa’s mandate.
    • Create an innovative working environment.
    • Create the desired organisational culture.

     

     

    1. Stakeholder Influence.
    • Leverage key global platforms to positively position the country.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships and relationships with stakeholders.
    • Drive the stakeholder prioritisation strategy.
    • Position the organisation amongst critical stakeholders.
    • Get buy-in from stakeholders on key decisions (endorsements).
    • Actively promote an organisational brand image, messaging and positioning strategy within target markets – participate in local, regional and national conferences as required.

     

    1. Enable Resource capacity (financial and human).
    • Drive creative ways for alternative funding sources e.g. sponsorships.
    • Enable the resource capacity in terms of budget and human resources.

     

     

    1. Organisational Management and Governance
    • Enforce good governance and compliance.
    • Create an internal environment conducive to the organisation being able to function in terms of human and financial resources, internal climate and culture.
    • Embed a strong achievement culture through performance management.
    • To be the image of the organisation.
    • Create and orchestrate the message that positively tells the South African story.
    • Compliance and policy development and implementation of the corporate identity – consultation with stakeholders on key branding and product issues.
    • Drive the development of policies.
    • Develop and manage operational capability and capacity.
    • Develops and implements programmes to achieve strategic goals and contributes to the achievement of the National Development Plan.
