Assessing SADC’s competitiveness ahead of World Economic Forum on Africa

Johannesburg, Monday 4 March 2016  – In view of the upcoming World Economic Forum on Africa 2016 in May in Kigali, Brand South Africa, in collaboration with World Economic Forum, invite you to a special workshop on competitiveness in South Africa and SADC.

In a bid to address factors affecting the region’s growth prospects  – the workshop will bring together leaders from the business sector, policymakers and development experts to discuss the best way forward for keeping the region on this path and integrating the countries’ markets and with a goal of identifying key policy challenges and defining priorities

Additionally the workshop will cover findings of the Global Competitiveness Report 2015-2016 and the Africa Competitiveness Report 2015 published by the World Economic Forum, The African Development Bank, the World Bank and the OECD. It will bring essential points together for the preparation of a 10-point action plan to be presented at the World Economic Forum on Africa in Kigali 11-13 May.
