Johannesburg, Wednesday 23 September – This Heritage Day, Brand South Africa will celebrate the country’s heritage with the women’s organisation Owami Women. The event, hosted by Brand South Africa and Owami Women will celebrate women who play their part in preserving the country’s heritage.
Through its flagship programme ‘Play Your Part’, Brand South Africa recognises and celebrates South Africans who continue to make a positive contribution in their communities. Brand South Africa therefore recognises the positive impact that Owami Women has played in addressing women’s issues in the country ranging from social to business matters. It is for this reason that Brand South Africa, through Play Your Part has partnered with Owami Women.
At the Heritage Day event, Owami Women’s members will have an opportunity to share how they each play their part in making South Africa a country of which we can all be proud. A great line-up of inspirational women is planned and there are six women who will be receiving special recognition Play Your Part awards on the day courtesy of Brand South Africa at an awards ceremony. The women who will be honoured are Nawaal Mdluli, Motlalepule Mokhine, Kea Refilwe Modise-Moloto, Sithe Ndaba, Nthabiseng Monareng and Nothado Baloyi.
Entertainment will be provided by live performance of the famed duo Roots 2000 MXO and Sliq Angel who will be singing their fusion of great musical sounds.
