The three organisations will collaborate and play their part to clean up schools in the Diepsloot community on Saturday 24 October. The aim of the collaboration is to encourage citizens to play their part by cleaning up and recycling in their communities.Brand South Africa has collaborated with Miss Earth South Africa and the GEM Project through its Play Your Part programme. The Play Your Part programme is aimed at all South Africans and it aims to encourage South Africans to use some of their time, money, skills or goods to contribute to a better future for all.The clean-up will take place at the Leap Science and Math’s School as well as Akani Primary School in Diepsloot. Community members as well as pupils from the schools  will be actively involved in cleaning around their neighborhood and their schools.Like Brand South Africa, Miss Earth aims to ensure that they encourage and uplift the communities within which we work. Brand South Africa urges South Africans to become active citizens and play their part in addressing environmental issues in their communities. The newly-crowned Miss Earth South Africa Carla Viktor along with the runner up Jade Axon will be taking part in the clean-up project and will encourage the learners to play their part in taking care of their environment.GEM is a mobile rewards platform aimed at South Africans who want to play their part in society and it is for this reason that Brand South Africa has partnered with the organisation.  The GEM Project brings together volunteers from around the country and invites them to volunteer in community projects such as these.Download the GEM app and sign up to volunteer at the Diepsloot clean-up.
