Durban based Play Your Part ambassador Pamela is a social entrepreneur who has succeeded in turning her passion for media development into a business with an edge. Pamela believes that media empowerment and entrepreneurship are vital keys to unlocking the sustainable growth of Africa’s Social Economy. That’s why this former radio host and news reader dedicates her time to driving social transformation innovatively. This devotion led her to launch Abesu Media and Communications in 2005 and DoTV Africa in 2014 as well as run Positive Vibez NPC.

Through these organisations Pamela has been given opportunities to play her part in various spheres. These are some of the projects Pamela is currently involved in:

• Giving 2nd and 3rd year students from Boston Media House Durban an opportunity to work (for a stipend) and study as part of ensuring they develop a profile of work experience prior to completing their studies,
• Developing digital content production which enables upcoming journalism, media students and SMMEs to have their content showcased on Vodacom’s Video Play platform with a captive audience of 4 million viewers.
