
Johannesburg, Tuesday 12 July 2016 – Brand South Africa and its partners – the Departments of Trade and Industry and KwaZulu-Natal Health, National Research Foundation, as well as Selborne Hotel, Spa & Golf Estate – will host media ahead of the 21st International Aids Conference to showcase some of the province’s competitive strengths.
Over four days from Wednesday 13 – Saturday 16 July 2016, media will be treated to visits of the Toyota Plant, the Centre for the AIDS Programme of Research in South Africa (CAPRISA), the KwaZulu-Natal Research Institute for Tuberculosis and HIV (K-RITH), the Medical Male Circumcision Centre for Excellence, based at the Northdale Hospital in Pietermaritzburg and Selbourne Golf Estate, Hotel and Spa.
These site visits are aimed at telling the South African story and positioning South Africa as a globally competitive investment destination for investment, science, technology, innovation and tourism.
At the same time, the visits to CAPRISA, K-RITH and the Medical Male Circumcision Centre for Excellence will showcase some of the strides South Africa is making to ensure an HIV free generation in our lifetime.
