The Vodacom Change the World initiative is calling for skilled South Africans to donate themselves to work for a chosen Non Profit Organisation (NPO) for a year, while getting paid to do so.

CTW1The Vodacom Change the World programme gives people the chance to assist organisations in becoming sustainableWanting to promote a culture of volunteerism, Vodacom annually selects volunteers to impart their skills and experience to the NPO sector by providing them with a monthly salary so that they can deliver more to the NPO than money alone can give.

Vodacom Change the World (CtW) is a ground-breaking programme that takes corporate philanthropy in a new direction. CtW, first launched in South Africa in October 2010, is part of the global World of Difference (WOD) initiative, which has been successfully launched in 20 Vodafone countries. This initiative enables volunteers to work for the charity / Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) of their choice for a specified period, at no cost to the volunteer and host organisation.

Now in its second successful year, the Vodacom Change the World programme is again giving people the chance to assist organisations in becoming sustainable and positively impacting their communities.

    TRANSFORMING LIVES

“We have seen how our past and present volunteers have transformed the lives of many people around them and can attest to the extraordinary success that ordinary people can achieve when given the right opportunity. This opportunity to make a positive difference by donating your talent and time to an NPO is now available to you,” says Maya Makanjee, chief officer corporate affairs at Vodacom.
