Matt’s Foundation will be manning a gift wrapping and donation station at River Square from 5 November until 8 December. All proceeds will go towards creating an extra special Christmas for all the children Matt’s Foundation supports.
A large Christmas tree will be the mascot of the campaign, carrying hearts with children’s names written on them. Shoppers passing by can pick a heart from the tree, representing a child from the Vaal Triangle’s Christmas gift which they can then sponsor.
Matt’s Foundation will assist in wrapping the presents and delivering them to safe houses and orphanages supported by the Foundation. Additional funds will also be raised by selling Matt’s mugs, fridge magnets and Christmas tree decorations.
The Christmas tree decorations were all handmade by the children themselves. Matt’s Foundation is in need of volunteers to help man the Christmas station.
