In 2010, I had a great passion of establishing a library in my community. I did all the process of requesting permission from my chief to and he accepted my request and also gave the tribal hall to start the library.
I started writing letters for the donation of books where BIBLIONEF from Cape Town gave me two boxes of fresh new books and the library started operating from last year August at Nkuri-Zamani village where i am staying.
Four volutering youth library assistants were appointed and the community as a whole is benefitting from this library. Secondary students and primary pupils come in large numbers every day to write their homework and study.The library is also accessed by the neighbouring villages who do not have money to go to town, which is around 21km .
Therefore i am hoping that one the this library will be assisted in order to create a reading nation in our society
