I am from KZN (KwaMhlab’uyalingana). Kwangwanase Education Project Trust (KEPT) has been inspirational to all of us. Inspiring passion for education and modeling the way whilst encouraging the heart.
KEPT is a registered trust (since 2002) with the South African Department of Social Development and Justice Reg. no. 8410/00 Non Profit Organisation no.024-376. Trust members are Board of Directors and are legally appointed and regulated in terms of NPO Act 71 of 1997. This trust has assisted a number of rural schools in the Kosi Bay area and children to achieve their dreams.
The trust members all have full time jobs, but they never fail to devote their time to help school children in Manguze. About 85% of children in Manguze schools have parents who are unemployed.
Some of their projects involve career guidance, science, mathematics and english. Their aim is to improve the rural education system to create learners that will lead the way to a better community and country.
Currently thety have a number of learners in high institutions of learning that they have assisted. Childrem whom had no means to help themselves. They do all this for free. Due to unavailability of funds, they sometimes donate their own monies to make a difference and help children realise their dreams.
