KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife is teaming up with low-fare airline kulula.com to boost domestic tourism by offering travel packages that include flights, car hire and visits to prime game and nature reserves in South Africa’s all-year-round holiday province.

“The partnership between kulula.com and KZN Wildlife is in line with the government’s tourism strategy, aimed at making domestic travel more affordable and accessible to all South Africans,” KZN Wildlife CEO Bandile Mkhize said in a statement last month. “We have seen a need to offer our customers a wider variety of holiday experiences.

“These easy-to-book packages and accommodation options will offer our travellers great value for money, flight frequency and access to the natural beauty of the region.”

Wide variety of tourist activities

KZN Wildlife manages 68 nature reserves which offer a wide variety of tourist activities, including safaris, game viewing, camping, fishing, sailing, 4×4 trails and water sports.

“The positioning of the new King Shaka International Airport in Durban makes this partnership with kulula.com ideal,” said kulula.com joint CEO Gidon Novick. “By combining resources, we are now able to provide South Africans with an all-encompassing travel experience.”

Kulula.com currently offers over 90 flights per week from Johannesburg and Cape Town into King Shaka International Airport.

The travel packages are currently on offer via the kulula.com call centre on 0861 58582. Online bookings for travel packages will soon become available via www.kulula.com.
