The price of petrol is set to drop by between five and six cents a litre at midnight on Tuesday.
The price of the 93 grade petrol is decreasing by six cents.
One litre of 95 unleaded will cost five cents less.
Diesel would also be dropped by 20 cents per litre.
Peter Noke of the South Africa Fuel Retailers Association said it was a great way to start the New Year.
“We have a reduction in petrol of between 5 and 6 cents and on diesel between 20 and 21 cents a litre,” Noke said.
